The family has been living for several generations at the Tannerhof and our home has been open for more than 40 years for our guests. The house offers all modern facilities, a friendly atmosphere and complements the feeling of being at home.
The Tannerhof:
The Tannerhof is our home but also a business where we grow different fruit. As you probably know, South Tyrol produces a large percentage of the apples sold in Europe and also the Tannerhof is part of this statistic. Besides apples we also grow grapes which we process to wine. The "homemade" will be served exclusively to our guests and in our kiosk nearby.
In addition, you can find in our meadows and fields, numerous varieties of fruit such as plums, pears, peaches, cherries and even kiwi and figs. For personal use, we cultivate also a number of vegetables and herbs.
The location:
A few kilometers away from Meran in the heart of South Tyrol you will find the "Tannerhof".
All tourist attrctions can be easily reached by car or bus. There are also many hiking and walking paths which you can explore. Among the major attractions in our area are Castle Tyrol, the spa town of Merano, where Empress Sisi already spent her holiday, the newly established botanical garden "Trauttmansdorff" and the ski resort Meran 2000.
Other destinations for excursions are of course the Archaeological Museum in Bolzano, where you can admire "Iceman" and many other unique attractions such as the South Tyrolean mountains. South Tyrol is the ideal location to take day trips to Venice or to the opera in Verona. Verona, Lake Garda and Venice can be reached in about two hours by car. The local tourism association organizes trips to Venice and Verona each week if you want to leave your car at home.
